Bringing life into the world is one of the few shared human experiences. Everyone deserves access to the best care possible and unfortunately, medical systems the world round are not set up to deliver. We use our technical expertise and creative human hearts to reimagine the experience associated with bringing life into the world to make it better for everyone.
Our Story
David Groberman, the Co-Founder of HeraMED, is an engineer, visionary, and the mind behind home-based, connected maternity care.
In 2011 David and his wife Odelia experienced first-hand the overwhelming anxiety and stress too many pregnant couples face when concern for their unborn baby rises.
One night filled with anxiety, stress, and an ER visit left David grateful for their baby's health and incredibly frustrated by the process. That night David dreamed up HeraBEAT™, a smart, connected home fetal heartbeat monitor and our first commercial product.
Since that time, HeraMED has spend countless hours dreaming up technology to power a more human experience. Everything we do is designed with expecting parents and their care teams in mind. We use technology to power a completely new approach to maternity care, leaving time and space for the moments that need it most.

Care Experiences
In the near century since the modern maternity model was born, it has seen virtually no change. Care providers face service shortages, limited time, and increasing rates of pregnancy complications - all in a fragmented disconnected ecosystem not built to support them. Similarly, expectant mothers still experience pregnancy as their grandmothers did, plus lots of time spent away from work or home, increasing anxiety levels, lack of support and higher than ever mortality rates.
